Memorial Day
So, we planned on doing lots of fun activities on Memorial Day but when we awoke it was cold and rainy. This Utah weather is so funny one day it is 86 and the next we have a cold front that nearly freezes you to death. We met up with my sisters, nieces and my parents for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I do have to say they have amazing breakfasts and after eating one you do not need to eat until dinner:) After breakfast we went to Macy's to find me a bathing suit(i do not suggest doing this after eating a huge breakfast...looking at yourself in a a 360* mirror in a bathing suit is most frightening:) After trying on about 10 suits I finally found one and one that my husband actually picked out for me. I am impressed with his style and shopping sense. Although, I have to say I am dreading the swimsuit season and actually putting the suit on for everyone to see me in. AWWHHHHH!
We finished the day by hanging out at my parents and watching old home movies of me and my sisters in high school. We have never laughed so hard. It was great going back to see the hair(permed), the cheer leading(looks like I missed out on a lot of practices, hmm..I wonder where I went:) and most of all my teenage attitude(puberty! geez, i never realized what I stinker I really was and the faces and attitudes I pulled) It was so good to go back a remember the good ol' days. Thanks Mom and Dad for putting the movies on and letting us hang out and eat treats. Most of all thanks for filming those important times in our lives I do appreciate it NOW! We had a great Memorial Day with you guys and once again made many wonderful memories with you!

COMING SOON....
I have so many pictures and things to blog about I don't know where to begin. So once I get my pictures in order hopefully I will be a blogging fool!
Today was such a great day. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze so it made the air just right to enjoy the day outside. Scott is out of town for a couple of days so the kids and I went to the duck park today. It was so fun to see the kids, especially Cohen chasing after the ducks, geese and seagulls. He didn't just want to follow them on land he wanted to follow them into the water as well. Good thing for my lightning fast reflexes he would have been sitting on the bottom of the pond. We finished the afternoon with a stop to Pace's for a rainbow slushee. The very best part of the whole day....Cohen took a 3 1/2 hour nap!
I WILL get my game on and post lots of new pics hopefully by this weekend......

I am a Von Trapp!!
OK, so maybe you never went straight from a convent to motherhood, but it's a safe bet that you encourage and support your family in much the same way that Maria did. Playful and yes, sometimes a little mischievous, you tend to lead by doing, and you always make sure to help your children achieve their goals without actually doing it for them.
You inspire your family because you always find creative ways to make even the most mundane chores or homework problems seem fun and important. And you want others to try to find the beauty in life — whether it's from art, music, books, or adventure. Those are just a few of your favorite things.

EARS AND TEETH?
Emerson has officially graduated from the first grade. I cant believe how fast the school year has flown by. She is really going to miss her wonderful teacher Ms. Allred, she was such an AWESOME teacher. On the second to last day of school Emerson lost her front tooth! Yeah! She was so excited to show her class the note the toothfairy left her as well as her toothless grin. So, we have a long summer ahead of us but I think we have some pretty fun things planned to keep us ALL sane for the whole summer. 3 LONG months Ahead!

Baby GRACIE
I do not know how I came across the family blog of little Gracie, but I feel so lucky that I did. This little baby was born 4 weeks ago with a severe heart defect that will require several surgeries throughout her little life. Her story brings me to tears. I see pictures of her and my heart just aches for her and her family. I know she must have a great calling here in life and many wonderful things to teach people. I feel for her parents, how hard it must be to see your precious newborn endure so much in such a short span in life. I see her tender face in photos and I wish I could scoop her up love her and take the pain away from her. I don't know this child nor the family, but for some reason she keeps popping into my mind. I would like to ask you all to please put a special prayer out there for her and her family.
It makes me appreciate the lives of my children. How I take for granted their health and able physical bodies. It makes me want to hold them a little longer and appreciate their smells, smiles, eyes and the way they touch my face. It makes me want to slow time down so I can remember them being "little"
I appreciate stories like little Gracie's because it helps my faith in my savior grow. I am so grateful for the truth we have of eternal families and that Heavenly Father has a divine plan for each and everyone of us. I am so grateful for such innocent and perfect spirits like Gracie's....spirits that are so perfect, spirits that wanted a physical body so bad that they would sacrifice coming to earth with a handicapped body to obtain one, even knowing that their stay on earth might be a short one. What perfect examples those little ones are to me!
Please offer your prayers and support to not only Gracie's family but all the other families in such trying times as hers. Also, check out their family blog at: thegledhillfamily.blogspot.com
