Fall snapshots

My beautiful and talented little sister Audree recently got a new lens for her camera that she wanted to try out, so she called and asked if she could take my kids out on a mini photo shoot session. She took hundreds and I literally mean hundreds of pictures and they all turned out beautiful. A couple of these have not been edited yet....I had a couple blown up into 20x30's to display upon my latest project(hopefully I will have it done by my birthday) Now I just need to find some bargains on frames that size..
Thanks Audree for experimenting on my cute lil' kids. I love the photos and they are sure to be treasured forever. You are just a talented young lady and this is a hobby I think you should stick with.

All Aaaaboard!!

Eating a snack at a before getting back on the Front runner
Cousin Emeree came along for the ride too!

Cohen and cousin Emeree getting ready to board.

Feeling pretty cool that they are ditching out on their naps:) And boy were they both tired before they left.

I think we may be making a train gingerbread this year instead of the traditional house...just a feeling.
Every so often when my dad has a spare minute at work he will call Cohen to see if he wants to take a ride on Front runner with him. Heck yes, he does! Cohen has an obsession with trains at this moment and whenever he can see or hear a train well......that just makes his day. We meet grandpa at the train station and the two(and sometimes three with cousin Emeree) jump on the train and head North or South, just depending on the day. What a fun way to spend the day with grandpa, riding trains, stopping for treats at a diner, or riding the train into Salt Lake grabbing lunch, hoping on Trax for a quick ride around the city and then getting back on Front runner and heading home. Thanks Grandpa for thinking of Cohen and taking the time out of your work schedule to take him on the TRAINS....you have no idea what kind of impact you have made and continue to make on him. He loves you and thinks you are pretty cool.
Side Note.. Cohen had thee cutest blond, surfer look, angel wings over his ears type hair. Well the other day Scott was going in to get a haircut so I asked him to take Cohen with and just trim up the sides and make it a tad bit shorter on top. Thats it. That simple. Half hour goes by and Cohen runs into my room to show me his new cut. I took one look and burst into tears. I asked Scott what in the heck did he have done he said, "You told me to have them trim it up all around"....Uh, yeah, trim is right not use a #2 and buzz his whole head. Ugh! I was and still am so upset. Here is to praying that his hair will grow back quickly and never again will daddy be taking him in for another "trim".. Did I mention how ticked I am??

TrICk ~O~ tREaT

SHA-WANG!! Party on Wayne and Garth. Loved the costume Audree and Gramma Shawna.

Grampa Curtis freaked all the little kids out, Cohen was still talking about the "scary monster" the next day. I will admit it was freaky and I had no idea who he was when he walked in my house. I love that you and Gramma get into the holiday spirit and dress up!

The cutest trick-o-treaters around.

Cohen sportin' his "super spidey"

The gang at the annual trunk-o-treat

Claire in deep concentration carving her own pumpkin

Emerson showing off her own creation that she carved all by herself.

Baby Teagan

Our friends the Stewart family need your prayers. Their baby and first son was born with a serious heart condition called HLHS. Since his birth he has undergone one of many open heart surgeries required to help fix little heart. The little girls in the family have had swine flu so they are not able to go up to the hospital for a week to see their son...I could not even imagine how hard that must be for them.
Please pray for the Stewart family and baby Teagan that they may be wrapped in the arms and the comfort of the Savior.
Feel free to visit their blog at http://www.teaganstewart.blogspot.com/

Happy #6 CLAIRE

CLAIRE ELIZABETH COLQUITT
September 22, 2003
Born at 2:16 p.m.
6 pounds 5 ounces
19.5 inches
Born 31/2 weeks early, fast, scary(placental tear, shocking my tummy to get heartbeat)delivery. Came out perfect, sweet, calm and to this day those characteristics have not changed one bit.
Claire has been such a joy in our home. She is such a kind hearted, funny, caring, compassionate little girl. She is so excited about life and truly cares about the happiness of others around her. The picture above was chosen because she is an absolute animal LOVER of ALL animals.
Today in the car as we were running errands this was a conversation Claire and I had.
C: Mom am I 6 yet?
Me: Yes, you are 6! Can you believe it?
C: No! I don't feel 6 and I certainly don't look 6!
If that isn't the most innocent , sweet and completely serious conversation.....well than I don't know what is!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE-BEAR!!

School Days are here!

Claire sitting by her desk partner and current crush Brandon. Claire is so ready and excited to be starting kindergarten this year. We love her teacher Mrs. Stephens and think this year will be an exciting one for Claire. She had kindergarten testing this week her teacher was so impressed at how well she did that she said next week she will be sending home books for Claire to start reading. She is a smart little cookie but more importantly she is kind, sweet and thoughtful of others.
After spending ample amount of time round brushing Claire's hair I came outside to take her picture only to find her dancing in the rain. Wet hair sprayed hair looks AWESOME!!

Claire just had to hold her mouth like that so "everyone can see all my teeth that are gone." She is too sweet and often times thinks she is Hannah Montana(take note of the outfit, the top was glitter galore)

Emerson was so excited to be starting the 3rd grade that she got up every 3 hours to check the time. She is so thrilled with her teacher Mrs. Breese this year, she is super cute, super nice just how teachers should be! The neatest thing about her according to Emerson is that she worked at Disneyland before becoming a teacher. We are excited to see what this year has in store for our Emerson she is a brilliant girl who just loves to learn and has a real ability to absorb everything that is given to her. She has spent every year starting with kindergarten in the S.E.M. program(program for gifted children) We are proud of her for her willingness to learn, her pride in her school work, and just how much she loves learning. Not only is her outer beauty stunning, but her heart is just as beautiful.

The girls had so much fun school shopping this year with Gramma Shawna. Gramma had them sleepover at her house and the next morning she took the girls to the mall to shop and out to lunch. They had such a fun day shopping with Gramma and when they got home they tried all their clothes on for us. Grampa also did a little shopping for the girls on his lunch breaks....he headed to Gymboree(his favorite little shop) and picked out thee cutest little outfits for the girls as well.
Thanks gramma and grampa for taking the girls shopping. They had a BLAST(and they look pretty darn cute too!)

Emerson's Baptism

The famous father/daughter pose.....moments before the big event.
We caught this candid moment between Gramma and Emmy after being confirmed....too precious!

The newest member of the church. Isn't she gorgeous? Cousins

CTR anklet from the Flynns

Scripture bag from Kassadi and family

Her very own scriptures from Nana & Papa

Her new CTR ring

The stitched picture Gramma Warrick made Emerson. It is darling and it will be a keepsake to be forever cherished.

On April 25th, 2009 our Emerson Rose was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was such a beautiful day! The ceremony started at 5 p.m and having 5 other kids getting baptized that day we decided to have a luncheon before the ceremony. The food, family and conversations were Divine, it was so much fun to have almost all of our family together in one room(we missed you Janes family and Colquitt fam). Emerson had a special surprise by having her cousin Kassadi fly out from Texas to come support her choice in becoming baptized. We are so grateful that she was able to come out for a few days and be with us. Thank you everyone for your love and support on this milestone event.
