Our day at the Duck Park

My "posers"

The "lone" egg. This must have been the
ugly duckling for sure:)
The baby ducks. We wanted to steal one away
from its momma and take it home with us!

Memorial Day

So, we planned on doing lots of fun activities on Memorial Day but when we awoke it was cold and rainy. This Utah weather is so funny one day it is 86 and the next we have a cold front that nearly freezes you to death. We met up with my sisters, nieces and my parents for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I do have to say they have amazing breakfasts and after eating one you do not need to eat until dinner:) After breakfast we went to Macy's to find me a bathing suit(i do not suggest doing this after eating a huge breakfast...looking at yourself in a a 360* mirror in a bathing suit is most frightening:) After trying on about 10 suits I finally found one and one that my husband actually picked out for me. I am impressed with his style and shopping sense. Although, I have to say I am dreading the swimsuit season and actually putting the suit on for everyone to see me in. AWWHHHHH!
We finished the day by hanging out at my parents and watching old home movies of me and my sisters in high school. We have never laughed so hard. It was great going back to see the hair(permed), the cheer leading(looks like I missed out on a lot of practices, hmm..I wonder where I went:) and most of all my teenage attitude(puberty! geez, i never realized what I stinker I really was and the faces and attitudes I pulled) It was so good to go back a remember the good ol' days. Thanks Mom and Dad for putting the movies on and letting us hang out and eat treats. Most of all thanks for filming those important times in our lives I do appreciate it NOW! We had a great Memorial Day with you guys and once again made many wonderful memories with you!

COMING SOON....

I have so many pictures and things to blog about I don't know where to begin. So once I get my pictures in order hopefully I will be a blogging fool!

Today was such a great day. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze so it made the air just right to enjoy the day outside. Scott is out of town for a couple of days so the kids and I went to the duck park today. It was so fun to see the kids, especially Cohen chasing after the ducks, geese and seagulls. He didn't just want to follow them on land he wanted to follow them into the water as well. Good thing for my lightning fast reflexes he would have been sitting on the bottom of the pond. We finished the afternoon with a stop to Pace's for a rainbow slushee. The very best part of the whole day....Cohen took a 3 1/2 hour nap!

I WILL get my game on and post lots of new pics hopefully by this weekend......

I am a Von Trapp!!

Take this test!
OK, so maybe you never went straight from a convent to motherhood, but it's a safe bet that you encourage and support your family in much the same way that Maria did. Playful and yes, sometimes a little mischievous, you tend to lead by doing, and you always make sure to help your children achieve their goals without actually doing it for them.

You inspire your family because you always find creative ways to make even the most mundane chores or homework problems seem fun and important. And you want others to try to find the beauty in life — whether it's from art, music, books, or adventure. Those are just a few of your favorite things.
I know this sounds lame-O but I can totally see myself as a Von Trapp. It will be fun to see what kind of Movie moms the rest of you are.

EARS AND TEETH?

So, this week has been pretty eventful around here. First off Claire decided to have her ears pierced again, when I say again I mean that she had them done last year but they got really infected so we had to let them grow back in. This last week she asked to get them done again. Are you sure? She was sure! She wanted her grandpa Curtis to take her AGAIN, we picked up gramps and headed to the mall picked out earrings and then she sat herself up in the big chair and with the count of ONE, TWO, THREE she had some pretty white gold diamond flower earrings adorning her ears, all that and not one single tear. After gramma and gramps treated her to some new earrings and a vanilla cone.
Emerson has officially graduated from the first grade. I cant believe how fast the school year has flown by. She is really going to miss her wonderful teacher Ms. Allred, she was such an AWESOME teacher. On the second to last day of school Emerson lost her front tooth! Yeah! She was so excited to show her class the note the toothfairy left her as well as her toothless grin. So, we have a long summer ahead of us but I think we have some pretty fun things planned to keep us ALL sane for the whole summer. 3 LONG months Ahead!
