This weekend was quite eventful in Syracuse. We started the day off with the Syracuse Heritage Days Parade. It was so much fun (hot) to enjoy our little community day parade. It has such the small town charm and feel which is why I love Syracuse so much. It was so fun to sit with all of our neighbors and visit with people from the ward. Hey, I even scored a Golden Coral T- shirt (yeah)! After the parade we had to get ready for my niece Cortnee's baptism. It turned out so nice and the spirit was truly felt there. I began to cry as I watched her enter the baptismal font in her white attire, what a sweet pure spirit she has. She looked beautiful and we couldn't be more proud of her. Congrats, Cortnee!! I can't believe your 8!!

Some Of My Favorite Things!

So, I have decided to post some of my

favorite things once a week. It is kinda fun to really

take a look a what you do throughout the week and

see what you did or did not enjoy doing. It

would be fun to see what all my blogger buddies

are cream and olive green and the paper is black and cream.

I think it turned out cute and added the final touch to

our laundry room.

Mom and Dad thank you so much for making our anniversary so nice. It was so great to go out and enjoy each others company for a couple of hours without kids, we really do appreciate your thoughtfulness on taking the kids. Emmy and Claire had such a wonderful time sleeping over(that isn't anything new, if they could they would live there) enjoying grampa's bedtime stories and getting as many treats as they want. You always make it so special for them.
Mom, thanks for taking the girls shopping and out to lunch today. Those shoes and tea set you got them are killers, they wore the shoes all day long and even hosted a tea party this afternoon with the new set. Thank you so much for always spoiling them rotten. It is not even about the stuff you buy for them it is how they feel when they are with you guys(hence the phone calls they have to make to the both of you on a daily basis and the phone calls you make to them daily as well)

Thank you so much for our awesome gift as well. I cant wait to take it out this winter and put it on display. Each village collection we have has a special date as to when you gave them to me(birthdays, anniversaries, holidays) there will always be a story told as to when I received each one.

You guys are the best. Thanks for always thinking of us and our beautiful, sweet kids. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

The Naked Bobsled Man

Oh the things that keep little ones entertained. It has been so hot the last couple of days it is almost unbearable to be outside, I got the hose out and sprayed the kids and all neighbor kids off while they rode by on their bikes. Cohen dragged the sled out and was playing in it so I put a little water in it and it seriously kept him entertained until we were all ready to go in which is good because it deterred his fascination with running into the street every two minutes. This kid loves to run from the top our driveway to the street and back and will repeat this process continuously....awwwhhhh! He is all boy that is for sure. He runs to the gutters picks up rocks or basketballs as he calls them and proceeds to throw them as hard as he can into the street.

Boys will be Boys and I for sure love my little guy. He has been such a wonderful baby and is getting more and more fun the older he gets. He really is the best little guy around!!

Summer Fun!!

So, the other day my mom and I took the kids to Salt Lake just to get out of the house. We had a great time considering it was way too hot!! Our first stop was East High School. They are in the process of filming High School Musical 3 and we wanted to see if we could get any glimpse of action, unfortunately we didn't see anything exciting except for all the movie trailers parked behind the school. The kids still thought it was cool and couldn't believe Troy and Gabriella were sooo close.

Our next stop was the Gateway where we met Grampa for lunch. The kids loved seeing him and eating lunch together, he even gave them money to ride the little rides inside the food court after saying goodbye to grampa we headed down to check out the fountains....oh, boy did we have fun there and got soaking wet!! I wasn't prepared for them to get so darn wet, but with that heat and seeing how much fun they were all having how could I resist? The kids were drenched and there was nooo way they were going to ride all the way home in the car that wet, so we ran up to Gymboree where they were having some killer deals on their summer clothes. I bought the kids a new outfit everyone was dry, warm and happy....that makes for a nice quiet car ride home:)

So, What do you do when your husband goes out of town? You have GIRLS NIGHT!! The girls and I invited Natalee, Cortnee, Launee, Lauren, Audree, Gramma and Codee over for a night of pampering. We had sooo much fun just hanging out as girls. We ordered Chinese food, had lots of treats and then let the little girls do the honors of doing our hair, make-up, paint our toes, massage our feet....oh, we were so spoiled and it actually felt terrific. As for the finished product I do have to say that we all looked rather scary(maybe it was good Scott was gone because if he took one look at me I think I would have been left on the spot). All in all we had such a good time and it helped pass the boredom we were facing while Scott was away. The girls also felt really cool because they got to stay up until 11:30 p.m.(those of you who know me I am a strict 8p.m. bedtime, so this was really a treat for them, and the real treat for me? They slept in until 11:19 the next day! Yeesssss!!! Thanks guys, er, I mean GIRLS for the fun night. Who is next up???

Hair or No Hair??

So, I have been going back and forth for weeks now debating if I should get extensions or not. I have never really had Long hair before(when I say long, I mean to the middle of my shoulder blades) I would be doing the beaded extensions which are suppose to be the best. they look natural, cant see them, the hair is top of the line hair, blah blah, blah. I need some honest opinions because it is such a big chunk of change to do this, if I wanted to wait and just have my hair grow on its own we are looking at years down the road. My hair grows so slow, I do have nice thick/fine hair but it just takes its own sweet time in the growing department....aargghhh:(

Please help me out and let me know what you think, and be totally honest. Long hair=instant gratification, or short hair=time+more time= it will never get there on its own.

Let me know what you all think:) Seriously, does this sound vain or what? I promise I am not being vain I just want my stinkin' hair to grow
