Family Night Randomness

I had to laugh at this photo because this is the only picture I got with Cohen in it. He was so busy throwing pillows off the couch and then every so often he would bop each of his sisters across the head with one. Lil stinker thought he was so funny! We love him and all the excitement he brings to the family. I love that he is a momma's boy and that I am his "favorite." He melts my heart completely.
Emerson with her beloved Webkinz.

I couldn't resist. The girls were snuggled up together listening to the lesson and I just happened to notice their little feet and toes. These sisters sure do love each other and really are each others best friends. I hope it stays that way FOREVER!

Emerson really loves family night she gets really involved in the lessons and most of the time I am in such awe at the knowledge that little girl holds. Scott giving the lesson and check out all the props he pulled out for the lesson. He is a great teacher!

Emerson reading from the manual and Claire listening intently on what Emerson is saying.

Claire had to show off her Webkinz too...her and "Pinky" are rarely separated.
I love my Eternal family!
(I wish I got at least one photo of Cohen...he is THEE cutest love bug around)

It's GREAT to be 8!!!!

Gpa lifting Emmy up to see if she has any resemblance to what she looked like as a newborn. It was so fun to look back on that special day that she was born. Fun to see her cute face....not fun to see the body I acquired while prego with her and gaining 60+ pounds. Not cute!! Scott dubbed me as the Octo Mom times 2.....thats how huge my belly was....and really it was ALL belly!!
Birthday girl with her special Gma and Gpa

Showing off her cowgirl bratz doll.

Happy 8th Birthday to my sweet Emerson
Rose! We had such a great today celebrating and by the time the night ended and the party done it looked as though we had just celebrated Christmas.
We love you little beattle-b and are so truly blessed for your sweet spirit in our home. You are such a good girl, great daughter and excellent big sister. We love you so much and hope you had a great birthday!!
Gifts Emerson received
  1. Gramma and Gramps--hurley capris(sooo so cute), shirt, nike hat, bratz cowgirls barbie, the last unicorn dvd, a decorative towel holder with holiday towels. Emerson loves anything that has to do with horses so when she told g'ma that she wanted a bratz it was very fitting that she got the cowgirl(good eye G'pa) Emerson always admires G'ma's decorative towel ring in her guest bath which she decorates with "holiday of the month hand towels" very cute and she is so excited to have her very own. Tonight she told me she loves that Gma and Gpa love to Spoil her:)

2. Flynn fam---a littlest pet shop stuffed animal, a bracelet made by Cortnee, and a stained glass necklace making kit

3. Horrocks Clan-- really nice sterling silver earrings. Her first piece of "fine" jewelry...haaha!! It is very beautiful thanks guys!

4. Family-- littlest Pet shop Monopoly(very fun), baptism jewelry, 2 webkins, and movie passes and dinner for the new Hannah Montana Movie

We also got a call from her cousins in St. George wishing Emerson a Happy Birthday, a call from her cousins in Texas with a great birthday present saying Kassi would be coming to stay with her and attend her baptism at the end of the month. She is beyond thrilled !! And also a call from her Nana and Papa.

Fishing at Cold Creek..Hook Line and Sinker!

The look of a proud dad. He is so proud of his little girl for snagging this beauty!
Gross!!! Fish slime spraying everywhere.....ewwww!

Cohen probably having a hard time just standing there and not diving in the water to get the fish.

Look....he cant believe that he put an empty pole in the water and when he brought it out there was a fish.
Repeat picture:)

Cohen snagged another one. Look at all the fish activity in the water.
Looking at the catch. Claire standing in the distance not wanting anything to do with it.

Again Claire in the distance nervously bitting her nails. Emmy and Cohen getting ready to snag another.

What a good way to spend a Saturday. We had gone over to visit my parents this afternoon and my dad got talking about a fish farm in Ogden and how much fun the kids would have fishing for some good 'ol rainbow trout. Scott, my dad, Claire, Emerson and Cohen loaded up and away they went. I guess when you get there they throw fish food in the water and the fish go nuts, you drop your pole and within 2 minutes you have one hooked. Emerson caught a total of 5, Cohen caught 3, and Claire caught 2. Claire was a little afraid of the fish and really didn't want to be around it. Emerson had a good time and was extremely proud of herself for catching the most and Cohen he was in his element...outdoors, water, mud and disgusting things he can touch.
They all had such a great time and look forward to going again. Thanks grandpa for providing the day of fishing and lunch. Now.....I will let you all know how they tasted after our Monday night fish fry!!

Best Friends

Ok...so I have a talented little friend who has just started up her own Photography business(and by the way she is awesome) she had called me saying she wanted to use Emerson in some photo's along with some of her friends I gathered Emerson, Cortnee and Gracie up and dropped them off with Alex for a 2 hour photo session. The girls loved it and came home saying how much fun they had and how "cool" Alex is. Well I just got done viewing the pictures and they turned out so dang CUTE! I love how it captures their innocence and what truly beautiful, kind, sweet little girls they are.
Check out their photos here
Thanks Alex!!

While I was cleaning my house today I had turned on a cartoon for Claire to keep her occupied when I entered my bedroom to put something away Claire jumped up and said this
"Mom did you know Marie Osmond.....she lost 45 pounds on NutriSystem and you can too"
I guess I am on my way to calling 1-800- nutrisystem!
